Structural Improvements
One of the first stages of any new build project is the structural work stage and the experienced and highly skilled team at Blair & Cramer will always ensure that your house has a solid and strong foundation for many years to come.
Our structural work ranges from working alongside designers and architects to designing and fitting steelwork for the house structure and creating bespoke house extensions.
It is imperative that your property, no matter whether commercial or domestic, has a strong foundation on which to build and that is why Blair & Cramer get fully involved with the project as early as possible. With over 65 years experience in the industry we are perfectly placed to ensure that your property will last you for many years to come.
We manage the project from the outset and working alongside experienced and expert architects and designers we will expertly and efficiently fit strong steelwork to support the structure, as well as level out any existing surfaces.
We also provide our structural improvement services for customers with an existing property. These include:
- Underpinning
- Removing load bearing walls
- Tanking
Existing Property Services
Underpinning
To counteract any subsidence, our experienced and highly skilled team can carry out underpinning work. This strengthens and stabilises the foundation of your building and is ideal for customers not financially able to have a new property built.
Removal of load bearing walls
As we are one of the South East’s leading building refurbishment, construction and conversion companies, we have the necessary knowledge and expertise to correctly identify a load bearing wall. A load bearing wall is one that bears the weight and force of the structure and our experienced team can remove and replace it with a new header and post structure that can more accurately bear the weight of your home, office or store.
Tanking
The process of ‘Tanking’ is yet another service that falls under our expertise. Our expert team are able to visit your property and then waterproof your basement. Our tanking systems will bond to your basement structure and then physically hold back groundwater. Tanking is usually used when drainage would be inadequate and provides a suitable way of protecting your property from floods and water damage.
If you would like any more information about our structural services, please do not hesitate to contact one of our helpful and highly experienced team. They are always on hand to answer any questions you may have and provide honest and impartial advice.
